Treasurer's Report
New Business
We need thoughts and prayers for Bob Casey and his sister. She has brain tumors and it is not looking good. Bob has gone to see her. Also for Grumpy's wife Donna and her family. Her family has been involved in the California fires. The houses around them have burned, but so far her brothers' have not. The house smells so badly of smoke everything has to be thrown out.
Top is about 80% sure he has secured funding for 1st Mountain racing team (kids' motocross). The team currently consists of three riders and three dirt bikes (Jacob Baca, Kenny Sandlin and Santana Franz). We talked about doing some fundraising for these kids and made a motion to table the discussion until next meeting. Motion made and accepted to have the kids at the next meeting for their perspective.
Yvonne Dailey has volunteered to be our new Event Coordinator. Thanks Yvonne! We need volunteers to make chocolate cycles for our booth at the Rio Rancho toy run. Patty and Yvonne were voted to be the committee.
We will be manning one stop for the NMMRO toy run; Patty and Damon will do it. Top secured $250.00 worth of toys for NMMRO & ABATE toy runs from the VFW. Thanks Top!
Nominations made and accepted: Charlie is our Sergeant of Arms and Grumpy is Assistant Sergeant of Arms.
Motion made and accepted: No more November meetings. Next meeting will be December 14th, second Sunday of the month.
The winner of the 50/50 left the building; motion made and accepted to split proceeds between crash fund and 1st Mountain Riders.
Toy Runs:
NMMRO - Nov. 16th, 12:00 on. Poker Run-Chick's to Tumbleweed. Bring 2 cans food and a toy. Full Moon will play.
RIO RANCHO - Nov. 23rd. Line up @ Crossroads Cycles in Rio Rancho @ 12:00. Bring 2 cans food and a toy. Ends at Elliot's. Raffle prizes, Bike Rodeo, live music, etc.
