This is a summary of the minutes from the October 10, 2007 chapter meeting:
The meeting was called to order at 10:00am.
Treasurer's Report
Old Business
The annual Halloween party needs volunteers for the kid's games, the haunted house, candy donations, and cakes for the cake walk are still needed. Set up will be on the 18th and the 19th; any finish up will be on the 26th. Anytime after 5 p.m. and that will be at the Baca's. Any questions please call 281-5147. Donations will be going to the Sanctuary Zone. Please bring a donation of household items, clothing, or anything non-perishable. Date October 27th starts at 6:00 p.m.

Highway clean up was decided to be held right after the meetings so that there is no more confusion on the days. They are twice a year, spring and fall.
The Mad Jack patches are still in progress. They will be for sale for $5 a patch. The 1st Mountain Chapter agreed to donate the money to Lori, who in return donated back to The 1st Mountain Chapter. Thank you Lori!!-+ Angel suggested that we e-mail the School Supply Run pictures to the East Mountain Telegraph in order to get more exposure out about our chapter. Also to include our monthly minutes and a copy of our agenda. Angel was nominated PRO Officer. Congrats Angel!!! The agenda will be revised in December.
New Business

Announcements
MRF REPORT: ABATE members need to sign up to fight the helmet law. The NTSB has recommended a univeral helmet law be inacted and those states that don't have helmet laws at all will be the first states that they target.
NCOM: Region 9 - Regional is October 20th from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. in Reno Nevada. The NCOM Convention is in May 2008 (Mother's Day weekend, Sorry I don't have a 2008 calendar yet.) It is a 2 day session.
DOT Meeting: It's the annual meeting and they will be discussing the budget and how to spend $100,000, how to get more information out, why not more training. It is October 18th 11 a.m. and lunch will be served. Must be signed up by October 8th.
Board of Directors Meeting: November 10, 2007 in Prattville, Alabama
You can now sign up for State Coverage Insurance at 1st Choice in Edgewood. It is for people who don't receive any kind of insurance coverage. For more information please call 281-3409 and ask for Virginia.
Family Fun Poker Run - Benefiting Battered Families. Saturday October 20, 2007, time 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., place Super Bowl 1400 South 2nd Street Gallup NM.
All Albuquerque Toy Run - December 2nd at 11:00 a.m. Starts at Wilson Stadium and ends at Sandia Casino and Resort.
Rio Rancho Toy Run - November 18th at 11:00 a.m. Starts at Rio Rancho High School and ends at Italian American Club.
