MeetingsThis is a summary of the minutes from the September 7, 2003 chapter meeting: Meeting called to order at 10:13 a.m. Treasurers report Old Business Fenton was great! A good time was had by all despite the rain. We got a better deal on school supplies. Office Depot was wonderful! We will be sorting the supplies at the Mofran's after the meeting. Patty, Leslie, Top, Grumpy, Sparky and Dave will be delivering them on Tuesday. New Business Dave and Cat attended a C.O.C. meeting on Friday in Farmington. The Patriot Act went into law; it deals with search and seizure, etc. Please make calls and send e-mails denying your support of this law. Groups should incorporate to protect the members. In Nevada an Equal Access law was overturned. A cyclist wearing colors showed up to pay a ticket and was thrown out. After 30 of his brothers showed for support, the law was overturned. Easyriders will be removing the sign denying access to patrons wearing colors. If anyone is harassed by a copy, please contact Dave Berry (281-3493). He has cards to send to NCOM. The Arizona Traffic Safety Dept. is issuing motorcycle awareness badges to kids. They are encouraged to wear them when in the car with their parents in order to keep an eye out for motorcycles. What a great idea! Please contact your reps regarding the Equal Access law. Dave Berry will have more info. We will hold a flea market after the next meeting at the Ponderosa. Spaces will be $10.00. There will be an ad in the Telegraph; Patty and Joyce will organize the event. Announcements Please attend Mark's art show and street fair, September 26-28. Downtown! Woo hoo! Meeting adjourned.
