This is a summary of the minutes from the June 5, 2005 chapter meeting:

Meeting called to order at 10:15 a.m.

Treasurer's Report

Old Business

State/Chapter Picinics
Both events have been cancelled due to lack of insurance. Patty and Top volunteered to attend a risk management meeting, which is required in order to have insurance.

Where is Joe?
Joe has now been moved to a Rehab hospital in town. Visiting hours are 9am to 9pm. Be sure to sign the guest book that Joyce Casey has provided. This is the time when he will sure benefit from visits from his friends. Take the Martin Luther King exit, take a right and it will be across from the old St. Joe’s Hospital. It sits on the corner of Martin Luther King and Elm. He is having surgery to set his leg today (June 14, 2005.) At the meeting Jack made a motion to donate our crash fund to Shirley. The motion was approved. Don’t forget to check out Jenk’s Café in Moriarity where Shirley is part owner.

Villa Nueva
A camping trip was suggested and the dates of June 25/26 were accepted. Patty has made arrangements for a couple of sites and we will go from there. It is a $10/night/vehicle fee. Consider carpooling to help with expenses. We will take another head count at the next meeting. I hear this is a beautiful place and only a short drive for most of us. Let’s get together and unwind a bit.

Christmas in July
Our toy run will be held July 24th to fully enjoy the mountains in summer. Be thinking about ways you can help out, what you can donate, or help out with the route. Start picking up your toys!!

Sanctuary Zone
Patty and Top attended a benefit auction and reported that there were a lot of wonderful items up for sale. There will be another auction sometime in September. All proceeds to go towards this worthy cause.
