Meeting called to order at 10:14 a.m.
Treasurers report
June 21 and 22 at Cedro Campground, Tijeras: State picnic. Food: Turkeys, pasta salad, fruit, bread, brownies, beans. Leigh and Patty will coordinate. Thanks gals. Save coffee cans for butts. Sparky has a bunch. Always need more.
Campout at Villa Nueva, July 26 and 27. Note date change!
July 12, 2003: State Board Meeting at the Bacas'. First Mountain hosting. Thanks, Mike and Leigh.
Top updated on "Run for the Wall." It took 4 days to arrive from NM. 500,000 bikes arrived from all over. ABATE was represented from Portland, Chicago, Tacoma, Seattle and many other states. Some of our members proceeded to the Vietnam Memorial in Canada.
NMMRO update from Dave Berry: Bobby V., Treasurer, resigned. The July Poker Run was cancelled. Because of the equal access issue at Easyriders in Albuquerque (no colors can be worn at this establishment), a national boycott of all Easyriders may be implemented.
Governor's special session on health care issues: keep an eye out for helmet laws slipped in.
Two reports were made on Channel 4 of motorcycle accidents. It was noted by the station that the riders were not wearing helmets.
