The minutes from last month were read and a motion was made and passed to accept the minutes.

Old Business

A moment of silence was taken for Paul Souther. A memorial was supposed to be had at a later date but there was some confusion and it has been brought to my attention that it will still be held on May 18th. His store must be moved by the end of this month. No word on whether or not it will remain closed or if it will be opened somewhere else.

Boomer got his package and he wishes to thank everyone who sent him his goodies. Lori will be turning 49 on Friday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI!!!!!

Thanks to all who helped with highway clean-up. You know who are!!

State Picnic
Food - Aunt Yeya's, Corn-N-More, and Silly Chili's Ice Cream.
Bands - Two Mile Train and Full Moon will be playing.
There was a deposit of $1100.00 that went to rent the rodeo grounds, $800.00 of that we will get back. Barb paid $1098.00 for insurance. Raffle tickets need to be turned in as they are sold. Please give those back to Barb.
Security - Bill Kocher is in charge. Gates open at Noon on Friday, 11 a.m. on Saturday. Vendors must be set up Friday evening or by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. They must be set up BEFORE Belinda gets there, she does the zoning.
Big D will be cooking breakfast on Sunday morning.

As some of you know Liz Espinoza has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has already had the surgery to remove the lymph nodes and lumps. It is a stage 1 tumor and it is smaller than originally thought. She needs some help with light chores and housework. Her number is 343-1174 (home) or 350-3345 (cell). Please contact her if you can help her out, I'm sure she would appreciate any help at all. Her mom was also diagnosed with terminal cancer. She was supposed to have at least two months to live and unfortunately she passed away on the same day as the meeting. Our hearts and prayers go out to Liz and her family.

New Business

Bobbie Jo Shuldt and Greg Duerre are to be married on June 21, 2008. The wedding will take place at the Land Grant Building off of Route 66. The reception is to follow at the Ponderosa Bar and Restaurant. Please R.S.V.P. by June 10th. You may call 286-1107 or 328-4995.

We have also recently found out that Miss Kitty, our new Events Coordinator, has come down with an infection that is in a majority of her body. She goes every Friday to get 6 hours worth of antibiotics in one day. She will need help with the School Supply Run when it gets here. She is supposed to have low stress and taking it extremely easy. Get well soon Miss Kitty we need you!!!

Boomer also wanted to let everyone know that there was only one MIA in Iraq and his remains have been found, ID'ed, and sent home.

No other new business at this time.

Announcements

We would like to give a BIG thank you to Buzzy and Bet for doing the Blessing of the Bikes. They performed a Native American Ritual that was really cool. We would like to see more people and bikes come out for this next year. We would also like to thank Safety Flare for mailing out Boomer's package and all the help that Miss Kitty and Rhonda put into the Bike Blessing.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
