This is a summary of the minutes from the March 16, 2003 chapter meeting:
Meeting called to order at 9:58 a.m. Motion made and accepted to dispense with the reading of the minutes.
Treasurers report
Old business:
Poker Run—The NMMRO declined to work together with us on their April 27th Poker Run. Motion made and accepted to reschedule our run to May 4th, the weekend before our chapter picnic. Motion made and accepted to benefit Public Access TV, with a highlight on Freedom of Speech.
Please look for raffle donations during your travels.
Our second meeting in April falls on Easter Sunday, the 20th. Top and Diana are having an Easter party, and have invited us to have a breakfast meeting at their house followed by an Easter egg hunt.
Chapter Picnic—Jack and Damon are in charge of games; if you have any ideas please talk to them. We decided it would be fun to have kids bicycle games as well. Motion made and accepted that the entry fees will be $20.00 per single, $30.00 per couple, $5.00 discount for anyone who joins the chapter, kids 12-20 $5.00, and kids under 12 free.
This was the first meeting we implemented the 50/50 for the crash fund. Bob & Joyce won the 50/50 and donated their winning to the crash fund.
New Business:
Yvonne is working with Peachz on our section of the ABATE website (www.abateofnm.org). She will post our merchandise, updates and events. A motion was made and accepted to post a brief overview of our minutes.
Announcements:
Freedom of Speech parade 1st Sunday in June. We will have more information later.
We will be completing our t-shirt project after our next meeting April 6th, at Mark & Leslie's.
We have the ABATE newsletter online. If you would like a copy e-mailed to you send an e-mail request to IZIMBRA@peoplepc.com. If you do not have e-mail contact Patty or Leslie and we will make arrangements for you to get a hard copy.
